I understand why you feel attacked, I know it doesn't feel good to have someone attacking what you say publicly like this. But it's not true that Eli insulted you. He criticised and mocked your post, the content of what you said, not who you are. And this is an important distinction.

Could he have said it in a more sensitive way? Absolutely. Can you said he's a bit of an arsehole for mocking you rather than engage you in a more friendly way? I certainly would. But that in itself doesn't make his critique any less true or relevant.

That being said, the critique he leverages against what you said is absolute garbage.

PhotoShop, as the name indicates, is a photo editing application. It has the ability to do other things, like interface design, but it's not tailored for that.

A fairer comparison would be Sketch vs Illustrator & InDesign. And Sketch is still missing a lot of basic features in typography and layout control that the Adobe apps offer. Working with baselines in Sketch is a nightmare, and character styles doesn't exist.

To get into the zone I always need to listen to His Hero is Gone and Tragedy. D-beat calms me down somehow. Spazz also seems to work well. Lately I've also been listening a lot to Hoax – one of the best hardcore bands of recent years.

I don't understand the opposition between inspiration and comic sans.

This website has a form appropriate to its content. Someone looked at the content they had to communicate, and designed a website accordingly. I find that quite inspiring.
