You state that you have 8 years of experience. That is the bit which is the most interesting to an employer- talk about that more and maybe just label the project you mention above as being 'Creative Lead' to skirt ruffled feathers
Comment #2 (since i can't seem to reply my own comment)
Having just done a little browsing through your site and clicking through to some of the links, I must admit- putting a face to the work really personalises it (far more so than it would with a grab of some gfx). So whilst I don't totally rescind my previous feedback there's something rather lovely about connecting a real human to the work :)
Great initiative so firstly, bravo!
One (hopefully constructive) piece of UX feedback: This is a design showcase right? You want to elevate black talent in the design industry. Awesome! Yet, the main image on each card is a profile pic which kinda follows the model more suited to either a social site or a dating platform. You might want to consider if someone's face is really the best poster for their skills.
Thanks
Lovely work
My only feedback of any real value would be about your brand proposition. Your site, upon first glance appears to be an agency. Yet there are only two samples (albeit nice ones) of the agency's work, seems odd. Then when going to the About page it is revealed that this is in fact a single human. Throughout the site there are references to 'Ondesign' in the third person (as though you were an agency/collective) yet in fact you are an individual.
My advice would be to choose one and stick to it- either you're a human or you are an abstracted identity/brand/collective. Buy-in and trust will be cleaner.
Yeah, that's probably why most people call it 'Negative Space'
Thought: Ditch the carousel and make it swipe-horizontal-scroll for clients which support it (MacOS etc) http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19877924/what-is-the-list-of-possible-values-for-navigator-platform-as-of-today
Bravo Colin! Really nice portfolio. No fuss and filled with lots of nice touches.
Great idea.
The killer feature here would be if your code recognises that the page is using Source Maps (and therefore generated CSS) and the edits you make can be factored into LESS/SCSS etc
This is great. Well played. I sat there for a good minute looking for easter eggs. This is the web i used to know an love. Hugs for doing something driven by something other than standards

I have a previous gen iPad Pro and absolutely love it. The performance is staggering.
My comment, however, is just to pause for a second to marvel at how far the web experience has come. Scrolling through that page I'm blown away by what we (you guys!) can and are doing natively in browser. It is amusing how blasé we are to this stuff nowadays. RWD just 5 or 6 years and this page would have been winning awards and blowing our collective minds. Bravo
