Posted to Mail to Self—An iOS extension to mail notes to yourself from any app., in reply to Corin Edwards , Dec 03, 2014 Hi, I'm one of the two people behind this app. The reason we don't use the iOS mail client is because we want a single tap solution to sending an email. iOS mail client would bring up the mail UI — this is not the product we wanted to build.
We use Mandrill (by Mailchimp) to send your links to your email ID, so yes, there is a trail of the links you send out — we're working on minimising this as we don't want this trail either.

Posted to New Designer Onboarding, Aug 18, 2014 We recently had an intern join our design team. On his first day, the entire design team met him at a cafe near the office (we're a small team of 4). We had some light breakfast and then chit chatted over coffee. Then all of us walked over to the office together, showed him around and introduced him to the others in the office.
This was followed by some admin stuff and us giving him a rundown of all the projects each of us is working on and also the recent projects we've delivered. Then a game of ping pong and eventually a lunch with the dev team.
This worked well for a first day. I think it's more important to make someone feel comfortable and at home before expecting anything.
As we're a small team, it's easy enough to hang around, talk throughout the day and meetup after work — other than this we don't really have much more of an onboarding process. Will be watching this thread for more ideas!

- Flinto (www.flinto.com) - for interactive wireframes
- Framerjs (www.framerjs.com) - for prototyping animations & transitions
Both can take files from Sketch.
Posted to Ask DN:Should I enable 'press enter key to confirm on a delete action' ? , Jun 24, 2014 If this action is undoable (which usually is a good idea anyways) then using the return key to confirm deletion sounds like a good idea.

I find observing things in detail helps me. This could be anything from a door handle to a cup or a curb on the road or even a tree.
Anything but the medium that I'm working with.
