I'd say the Craft plugin for Sketch (made by Invision). We do a lot of prototyping with Invision so this makes it really easy to keep everything up-to-date.

It also has some cool duplication and content features, too, like being able to import JSON. That was something that was particularly useful in a recent project.

Absolutely setup a contract. It doesn't have to be anything super detailed, just something that puts everything (scope, payment, timeline, etc.) in writing.

It's not just about protecting you legally, but it's also a chance to have conversations about everything upfront to make sure you're on the same page.

I used to have a folder full of photos from /r/EarthPorn that I'd cycle through. Since I got a new computer, it's just been the default, though. I've been meaning to set something up, thanks for the reminder!

How I Built This (NPR) is great. It's basically interviews with founders of companies (Sam Adams, Instagram, Patagonia, etc.) on how they built their companies.

Also any of the Gimlet podcasts are good, though Reply All is the best.

    TED Radio Hour is solid.

If you're into fiction, Tanis and Life After are good.

    1. I started a side project a few months back, but took a break for the holidays. I want to get that going again and grow it this year.

    2. My company (small studio) is looking to grow by a few more folks this year.

    3. Get out of the office more/get a more stable work schedule. I've been saying this for awhile, but I'd like for this year to be the year I actually do more than just work all the time.

  • Posted to Lantearn: Simple Cashflow Forecasting, Jul 14, 2016

I wanted to learn Vue.js and a little more front end dev so I built a simple calculator-type app to help you forecast your cashflow quickly. Basically this saves me from pulling out the calculator on my phone and jotting down a bunch of numbers.

I know, I know, it's not responsive yet. I was super lazy on the design and layout stuff, but I'm planning on continuing to update it so it should be much smoother soon. If you have any suggestions, let me know. Thanks!

Yea Lookback is incredible. The integration with Inivision is great, as well.
