Hey guys, Today I'm really excited to share Learn Design, a project that I've been hard at work on. The first class I'm releasing is called Learn Pixate and can be viewed here: http://learndesign.io/pixate
I've created 25 step-by-step video lessons that cover every aspect of Pixate, including lessons on how to use all the new features of Pixate 2.0. I've personally used Pixate very extensively since their original beta release, and now I'm happy to share everything I know about the tool in this master class.
If you're interested in purchasing the class, I have a 10% off code for Designer News folks, use this code at checkout: dn10
I'd love to hear what you guys think!

I just poked around with this for a couple of minutes, wow. Once there's an easier way to share prototypes on device with teammates other than directly mirroring, this could be a game changer.
Built this after about 10 min of getting acquainted with the tool: https://twitter.com/patrickswong/status/633713520157294593

The overrides panel and symbols page are way too complicated. Overriding symbols in the inspector panel instead of direct manipulation in context is wonky. Why not just treat all changes to a symbol as an override by default, and have a button in the inspector panel to "commit" those changes to propagate them to the master symbol? Everything could be done in-context without the overhead of a new page and a bunch of artboards for each symbol. A more simple solution would be to treat symbols similar to how shared styles work.
