You would have to create a symbol for every color and weight combo that you would need. Then place one of those symbols in your master symbol and use overrides to change the color/weight.
Watching this as my team is about to start writing or OKRs for the next 6 months. The suggestions so far regarding quantitative vs. qualitative are spot on. Sometimes as creatives we tend to overthink OKRs.

I think you could easily keep that same workflow while using Abstract. The ability to revert back to a previous commitment state will let you keep iterating on your designs without fear of losing an old idea.
You could also just create a separate branch for each stage of your workflow - an exploration branch, a WIP branch, and a final production branch. And just merge each branch at the end of each phase.
