First split it into two - quantitative and qualitative. The first is harder but if you work out conversion rates you can then show “friction” or barriers that can be overcome via time saving ux and features (think PayPal and Apple Pay) think postcode auto fills address then you can list all design ideas and estimate how much these design enhancements might increase conversion rate and therefore attach that to increased revenue.
I do this in spreadsheets a lot for winning work and for clients at www.Univers labs.co.uk and it really helps clients understand design work is not wishy washy.
Happy to do an in-depth article at some point
Hey everyone - we recently did a passion project (probono) collab with www.nueker.co.uk.
The project is a frustrating but fun drawing toy to let people have fun on Nueker’s website.
To celebrate the draw toy and get some exposure Univers labs and for our passion project team we are doing a give away of some beautiful design books - details are on our Instagram post.
Feedback welcomed :)
Have a great day
Holy F**K this would change my life.
always good to have some stats to back up the importance of a discipline
Sounds cool has anyone here used the previous version?
it's interesting as someone who knows nothing about Framer it appeared to me entirely as a new product not an iteration of an existing one. Did the people who designed the page presume that I either know what framer 1 is or that it even exists? There is a link to framer at the top but I missed it.
Thanks, Matthew, I think that's a much more simple way to do it. I generally overcomplicate things but this seems like a good bite size way to approach it.
Great article - it does make me wonder though, how would you make a brutalist web or app design without that being a copy of a copy - do you have to push things to an absolute extreme juxtaposition of the usual way of doing things.
Seems like a great tool, designs are bound to change slightly once they start being built, this is a great way to keep on top of that
super slick, nice to hear peoples creations!
