Thanks for your feedback! This looks like a bug on our side for rectangles only; paths do the correct thing. We've filed this bug to fix in a future release of XD. If you're in a hurry for it to do the right thing, you can convert to path using Cmd+8 (Mac) or Ctrl+8 (Win).

We saw your post on the XD product forum. In the future, you can also file bugs like these on https://adobexd.uservoice.com as well. Our product team regularly reviews UserVoice and our product forums.

Thanks for surfacing this, and we're on it!

We hear you on both of those! Sketch file import is something we want to get in for people who are interested in XD. If you'd like to get notified when we deliver it, please do upvote here: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/12978909-import-open-sketch-files

We're also interested in offering a dark UI, and your upvote would help us prioritize it as we're looking at 2018 and beyond. https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/12940362-dark-interface-overall-ui-including-side-panels

    Thanks for your feedback!

As I mentioned above, we're definitely working on increasing the fidelity of our animations, and you'll definitely see progress on this in 2018. As with the rest of the product, there's a lot of invisible work that happens before we roll out features, but once you get them, you'll see fast and furious improvements, as we're planning to continue our frequent release cadence. More to come in in the upcoming year!

Hi, Greg! We're definitely working on higher fidelity interactions and animations, starting with overlays and moving quickly into features that will allow for additional control over individual elements. You'll see more features rolling out in 2018.

Yes to all three! As has been mentioned earlier in this thread, we're working on both supporting plug-ins and layout grids, and we're approaching it with the same ethos as we have the rest of the product: thoughtfully crafting clean experiences for a user base that cares about such things. As you probably know, we currently support square grids, which can double up as baseline grids. (As a side note, we'd need baseline snapping to make baseline grids useful.)

I'm curious about your use of guides; do you normally create columns with them, or are you using them arbitrarily to help you align things?

To follow up on Mary's answer, we're also very interested in making more realistic prototyping happen and are working on the problem right now!

You can take a look at the About box to see the people who are or have been involved with the project. We can't talk a ton about how we organize ourselves, but we have a number of people with cross-platform skills. Sometimes, it makes sense for us to specialize, and sometimes, it makes sense for us to generalize.
