Very true! I might have gone soft for the trend.
You have a nav a { padding-left: 20px }
which pushes the logo a bit to the left as well, breaking the grid. Not sure if that’s intentional?
Yeah that might be the way to go, thanks!
I know what your trying to say but no. And Suit isnt 100% BEM, just a sort of type of BEM. Check it out: https://github.com/suitcss/suit/blob/master/doc/naming-conventions.md
Using utilities, you can override things like .Text p
.
Thanks! Best of luck with your own :)
Well the !importants is not a problem when using this type of BEM technique. I really recommend working with Suit if your coding CSS with BEM.
And yeah, I can get a bit obsessive with working out how to not get any orphans in text :)
Yeah thanks, looks much better. Hadn’t given the dark mode design as much love as I could have.
Thanks a lot Christopher, great suggestions! And well done showcasing Sketchflow :)))
Exactly. It’s something I picked up from Suit CSS and now I’m addicted. https://github.com/suitcss/utils-text/blob/master/lib/text.css
Looks good!
I would probably narrow down the different typefaces to maybe 2 and just 2 weights. All the looks so different everywhere.
Love the gif of your notebook!
Also you have a © 2017
which is kind of weird.
Great work on providing in-depth information about each case!

Haha, nice book. Everything Helvetica always reminds me of this essay: https://www.lokidesign.net/journal/2018/5/14/now-you-see-it-helvetica-modernism-and-the-status-quo-of-design
