Love it! Don't see the point in that hover state on the Search icon, I would have thought increasing size slightly on hover would make more sense than what's going on here

Haven't used any preprocessors or grunty type things yet, although I am fascinated by how they could potentially transform my workflow. I've got a couple of weeks off coming up soon so I plan on having a go at integrating Sass into my workflow and maybe trying out Gulp too!

Currently I'm just doing things the old fashioned way with Sublime Text 3 (with Emmet and various other enhancements), Chrome's inspect element function and sometimes Firefox's version (has a pretty cool responsive mode), MAMP or WAMP at work (we use Windows), Transit for FTP

I like to find an article or blog post that I haven't read yet in the archive of one of several blogs that I have bookmarked. (among them are Paul Irish' Blog - paulirish.com, www.csswizardry.com, a list apart etc)

I only got into design and development about a year ago (Finished my music degree last year), but so far I'm loving it!

Originally I was just at home designing android icons and piecing together an icon pack app from tutorials and templates, but now I'm working as a front-end dev for a small web design agency. Our only designer recently left us so I'm starting to do some of the design work too which is fun.

I think it's good to be able to see how a design will be implemented in reality while you're designing it. It also helps me understand that what you're designing is a system, with many components and a real 'feel' to it, rather than just static images or PSDs.

Also as has been said before, being able to rapidly prototype a design makes the whole process of weeding out not-so-great layout ideas a whole lot quicker.
