I've been knee deep in CMS' with the day job as you know.
Personally, I've used Perch and Statamic out of your list.
Perch acted weirdly for me. The whole flow, UX and extending it led me to ask far too many questions on Twitter. I ended up spending extra time that I didn't have in redoing the site to make both the client and I happy.
Statamic is nice, but can I really recommend Kirby? It's like Statamic but in my opinion a more well rounded tool. (Also, with Kirby Panel it makes life very easy.)
Two very different? They've always sought to homogenise the experience of mobile and desktop. Look at Launchpad for OS X to really see that.
They are not going any way like this, this release, considering Maverick beta builds are out and release is due any day.
Very much a sensationalist headline. Not sure I get the message? His work is valuable. Is that it?
