It's a package (that will eventually come baked in as default) for the Atom text editor that allows you to talk to Github (or projects on Github) without ever leaving the program or typing commands in the terminal.

What is this commonsense you're speaking?! :D

The hard sell slider is a fantastic idea, especially for a copywriter.

Not as clickbaity as I first assumed. Some good points in there.

I would agree that most of the interactive infographics I've seen (and even made) are not effective for the data presented or the audience's needs.

"Confirmshaming is the web equivalent of the retail store worker that not only doesn’t leave you alone when you say you’re “just browsing,” but says the clothes you’re wearing are ugly."

  • Posted to What kind of goals do you set to become a better designer?, in reply to Renee P , Mar 24, 2017

Thanks for sharing! Maybe it boils down to what motivates you more?

Personally, open ended goals stress me out more than specific ones. And it sounds like it's the reverse for you.

But then again, I've made goals in the past that turned into slogs and a joyless grind and I didn't see them through to the end.

Somewhere there's got to be a sweet spot, right?

I think the better analogy is telling print designers to understand paper, and how printing presses work, or other printing methods. It's the manifestation of the designers work in the real world.

Understanding paper weights, how separations work, which colors lead to oversaturation, etc. all help the designer become better at their craft and avoid unintended side-effects.

I feel it's the same way with code. It's the same manifestation from concept to reality and leads to a better understanding of the medium you're working with.

Ah I see! Yep, flipping it to inches sized it appropriately. Thanks!

That happened for me too, trying to print 8.5x11. One almost full page and then one page with about an inch or so of dots. I figured it was the other way around (8.5x11 VS A4)
