had same problem with huge pain in my arm, thumb and wrist. finally doctor inject cortisone.
solution: switched from magic mouse to the Logitech MX Master. never had any pain again.
get the mx master. it´s a fantastic mouse.

magic mouse is absolutely addictive!
at the beginning it was awful for me too. but by now... i am not able to work with another kind of mouse anymore.
