Maybe the hover play is the way to go. I wanted it to feel a bit more haphazard generally speaking which is why the GIFs play by default, and why things are all over the place. I like the idea that you just sorta enter my brain, and there's a lot of stuff going on. I get the "to emphasize everything is to emphasize nothing" jam, maybe there's a better balance I can find. Thanks for the feedback :)
Yeah, there's more than 3 GIFs on there for sure. That'll do it. Who knows what else I did. Probably at least one other thing.
Hey, thanks Lucas! Really appreciate the kind words and feedback. My buddy Brian is wildly good at this drone videography stuff. I was lucky to be able to edit such killer footage together.
What sorta style changes do you think should make it over to the personal site? I'd like to take another pass at my MarkJohnson.cc site and push it a bit more. Maybe some more funky fun type that resonates more, and some add other weird jams, but I'm curious to hear what you like about the BudBud site that you think should make it over. Thanks again for nice words.
Haha. Nice. Thanks!
It for sure could be more useful by adding more features, but that's more work that can happen over time. I've found the Dropbox doc alone a useful thing, but not easy as to share an add collaborators. This is an iteration on that.
I think including screenshots of type would be a bit of a cacophony of shapes, sizes, and colors. Though, I'd love an easy way to see what's available or maybe be able to try to pair type from multiple foundries and just see how that looks, but that's a lot of licensing navigation, design, and dev work in order to be extremely good. There's lots we could do to make this more useful than it is. But this is V1.
All in due time.
Hey Michael!
Thanks for sharing your feedback.
For some context, this started as a Dropbox paper doc shared with a friend, but we wanted it to be more sharable and useful than that. It's main intent is to be a neutral reference anyone can use, rather than a full on visualized alternative to let's say Monotype, myfonts, fontshop, or some other more visual representation of the foundries listed.
Oh this is nice. Thanks for sharing.
It reminds me a bit of this Skating playlist I have, but without words.
Yesssssss more goodies. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Greg, thanks for sharing this. It's rad to get insight into your process and the way you're working over there. Very much respect the work you all do.

Hey, thanks Graham! I just killed that Instagram link, and fixed the email jammer, so it should work now. Thanks for letting me know about that :)
