Bullet Journal might be a good fit for something like this depending on how you organize it. I don't need to compile project diaries, but I probably could just by looking at my completed tasks and notes.

I did the same thing. Really not a fan of the Airmail interface design and ended up using N1. Using Inbox on my phone which is a nice replacement for the Mailbox iOS app.

Absolutely. I just started freelancing full time again at the beginning of the year. I started out very informally just to get work in the door. Since then most of my clients have returned so we already have trust and rapport. There's a small bit of javascript that does this client-side. It loops through the links, randomly places the element by it's left/top position, and tries to make it not overlap with any of the other links. It also randomly draws the background gradient each time from a set of colors.

If you view the page source and search for "script" you can see the code for this. And if you search for "Math.random" it might help visualize how generative this is.

I've never used streamus but I've developed against the YouTube API a fair amount. And I hate to side with the massive corporation in any case... but it seems like he's being intentionally combative or just willfully ignorant. Hiding the video has always been against the ToS as far as I know. And I mean, your app is using a lot of bandwidth/resources for free. Of course they expect their advertisements to be playable.

I'm all for building cool things and asking for forgiveness/permission later. But once they've called you out on it you either need to make some changes, shut down, or lawyer up. Or build your own content provider. At the very least, you've come out of it with a portfolio piece and some great experience.

After reading it would be 4-6 weeks before they fixed this, I talked to their customer support about canceling my membership. This is critical functionality for me so not having it kinda sucks.

They offered me two months free, which I'm cool with. Especially after reading that you can copy/paste SVG into a text editor. I wasn't aware of that.

I think the full screen mode you're describing is Spaces-level of full screen. That is, you won't have two apps sharing the same desktop. All or nothing.

I think this allows you to position multiple app windows however you need while reclaiming that eighth-ish inch of space and/or removing the visual/mental burden of your menu bar.

I've been using Freckle and enjoy it. There's a Mac app that syncs with the website and the invoicing process is handled pretty well.

If I understand you correctly, the reason you're seeing this is because you can use multiple accounts in a single instance of the slack client. E.g., I have 3-4 teams across two different emails/logins (my work email and my personal email). They achieve this flexibility by having you specify your login each time you join a new team.
