Definitely noticing a bit of Grid Illusion, which makes this game a bit harder http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grid_illusion#Hermann_grid_illusion
That's always been an issue with the MLS, big announcements typically are first associated at the league level. Whenever there has been a big player acquisition the major media outlets, at least from what I've noticed, announce "X-Player is coming to the MLS" as opposed to "X-Team has signed X-Player". Granted a new logo doesn't fix this issue, but if the overall goal is focus on club recognition first then this is great.
There's a lot of things the MLS could improve on both on and off the pitch, but diverting attention to the clubs and making them household names is one step in the right direction.
Is this open source? I'd like to extend the functionality of nothing. I really think we can take this to a new level of nothingness if we put our collective lack of effort together.
The Mexico vs Brazil one is great! Viva México!
I would certainly hope not, I know Jesse personally from college so I can't imagine he'd do that.
Just use random numbers or start with the IIN numbers from the various CC types and you'll get the interaction you want. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bank_card_number#Issuer_identification_number_.28IIN.29
Great question Chris! Hopefully I can shed a little light on that, and sorry for the long response.
Unfortunately many low-income families don't have access to the internet at home and sometimes they don't even own a computer. Granted I can't speak for these kids, nor for everyone for that matter.
Yes, these kids probably have public access to computers yet we have to consider 1) the ability to get there 2) the availability 3) how they need to use their time with it 4) the resources at their disposal.
Just based on my own experiences with my community, and some of my relatives who are involved in public schools it happens more often than you think. A lot of kids are unable to even do homework at home because they don't have access to the internet or have a computer despite many schools are moving towards a more digital education. Oftentimes their only internet access at home comes from a parent's cell phone, which I think you might agree isn't 100% adequate for learning to design.
There have been studies finding that latinos and blacks have a higher mobile adoption rate and use. There's no way to be sure about this, but it could be that many low-income families have less disposable income which makes mobile devices an attractive option as it generally has a lower cost of entry.
I was fortunate enough to have older siblings that offset the cost of internet at my home for my parents. I definitely think I could have taken better advantage of it several years back, but I guess I didn't understand the opportunity I had at the time.
Flappy Birdly count on it!
