I created a Mac app, that solves all the problems you mention. So if you are running macOS, it might be useful for you. More infos here: https://www.peakstep.com/claquette/

Thank you for the info Marc! Screenflick looks really nice. I am the author of another Mac screen recording app (https://peakstep.com/claquette/) and I am currently designing a click effect for exports. The Screenflick devs did a great job detecting click and hold/drag patterns. The effect is noticeable enough but doesn't draw too much attention (like e.g. the cursor effect in QT Player recordings).

Really nice tipps! What did you use to create the videos? I really like those click animations.

Hello Alexander, I am the developer of Claquette - Thanks for the mention.

If someone wants to try out the current version, we offer a time-limited beta here: Claquette Beta

The main strengths of the app are the simple editing capabilities (crop, trim) and the highly optimized Animated GIF encoder.
