I agree mostly with the post but when selecting dates there should be also possibility to select the date visually from calendar aka. datepicker. Much faster especially if the date is relatively close.

I'd say by looking the design concepts on Instagram, Behance, Pinterest etc... this has been going on for a long time. These people don't seem to care about technical or business restrictions in their designs. In one hand it's a good thing (we get new "radical" ideas) but often they don't lead to anything because the concepts are "designer's dreams" without any correlation in to the real world. I prefer less radical ideas that still challenges the traditional approaches and solutions but in the end gets implemented. That is hand-on progress!

Looks good, but it would look way better if the logo "zoom in/out" effect would be animated from shape to shape. Now the zoom effect comes from the middle of the other (background) shape making it look cheap.
