Posted to Ask DN: How to create ux pattern library inside Confluence?, Aug 01, 2016 I've tried Confluence in the past for this purpose and found that it was too limiting. It would only show static images and not real, interactive patterns.
WordPress worked a lot better. I've used custom fields or a custom field plugin for lightweight documentation and a private CodePen environment imported into the WordPress page to show pattern examples.
Pattern Lab and styleguides.io may help too.
