Great list
https://elementor.com/black-friday 25% off Elementor Pro Page Builder for WordPress - the best tool for visual web designers
Hamish, Thanks for the feedback. I am glad to see more candid feedback like this in the comments.
I am so glad to read that you can see where this would be useful! Finally someone here realizes the potential value. I am sorry if my article promised the world but if we could improve on the process of quick and cheap sites (I believe these are over 80% of the sites delivered) than our work is worth while.
We are exactly targeting these types of sites, that typically cost a few thousand dollars to design. By the way, we just got a tweet from a graphic designer in Malaysia thanking us for helping him tweak his personal site.
OK, so site like this one: http://2016.makemepulse.com/ will not be done without a developer involved, nor would airbnb...
We never intended to create a tool to create nominee's for Awwwards. We did make an open source plugin that grants the designer with a lot more design possibilities than were previously available on WordPress.
Have you tried to use it? Our recently added features of background overlays and box shadow go to show in my opinion that we are trying our best to create a web designer tool and not just a simple layout creator, and it's free. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKIdWmNvQdQ
René I will say it again, I am talking about simple website design. I can create an exact copy of a hand coded CSS website by using a frontend page builder.
What am I missing here? "Solve Problems"? Let's say I am a cookie store owner. I want to design a website. I am not looking for a problem solving designer I just want someone to design me a nice and functional website.
Looks good.
Haters will be hating....
Yeah and race car drivers, learn to fix cars. It shouldn't have to work that way. If a designer is naturally inclined to code then I say go for it. But more often then not a designer much prefer to... surprise... design.
Hi Joe, Think of the difference between a pebble watch, and a hand crafted watch. It's the same advantage any technological and industrial product has. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUILD EVERYTHING FROM SCRATCH.
Let's take our newly added box shadow feature. If a developer or a designer had to do it, they would have to code the CSS for each column they wanted to add a box shadow to.
With our page builder, you get controls and a simple scale where you can set the spread of the shadow, the softness and other settings. You can see the result live and play around until you reach the right box shadow, and you don't have to touch code. You also don't have to wait.
Are you willing to admit this could potentially save some time?
