Thank you for the comment. At the very first month of the launch for BetterDesign, yes, we created fake content and votes because the website is empty. Based on the research that I did, most user-generated-content websites started in this way, include Linkedin. But with more and more users sign up and vote, we have stopped. It's not needed. If you visit Medium, most posts come with a very clickbaity title. I do believe every designer should use BetterDesign to test to create better product.

As why the people commented with new accounts. I shared this link with some of my friends and beta testers, as well as on Facebook and Twitter. I guess not all of them have accounts on DesignerNews.
