You have to show something extremely slick in a VERY small space. Look at what shots are popular. See how they're using the 800x600 space. Nothing is busy on those shots, and everything is placed with intention.

Also, be funny! Have personality, show something DIFFERENT.

I appreciate the designy-ness of it, but yeah it seems way overdone, and the scrolling in Safari is totally janky. I feel like they're trying to do what Intercom is doing but completely backwards and a bit too late. But I love the experimentation in illustration and type, as wild and disconnected from the previous brand as it is.

Small thing, once you click careers in the menu it takes you to the careers section right and the menu overlay closes. If I scroll up to the top of the page and hit the menu again then click 'careers' again the menu doesn't close but I can see the page scroll down to 'careers'.

You'll lose this effect completely on mobile. Nice though.
