^ This guy is totally right.

I myself am not blind, but I‘m far from a near-perfect eyesight.

Whenever I struggle to read something on the web, I pick a Color Contrast tool and measure the ratio of the foreground and background colors.

Every single time they fail the test. I‘m not talking about not being AAA-complaint. I‘m talking about not meeting AA or even AA-Large standards. They usually get between a 1–3 ratio.

The Heart shape is very interesting. Worth to consider the points already made by the previous designers in this thread.

The color palette is nice but, unfortunately, doesn't pass a color contrast test:

The other thing is that the logo + type is too horizontal, so you might experience issues down the road when resizing it to fit narrow areas. Worth presenting the logo in different contexts.

The whole site has terrible accessibility:

    • Lack of focus style (Good luck navigating with a keyboard)
    • Meaningless alt text for images (eg. “karsten-wurth-inf1783-104731.jpg”)
    • The headings are a mess (eg. The copyright text is an h2)

And more violations that aXe found (19 in total).

Unfortunately, that‘s the state of modern web design. Glitz over Usability.

Hope you guys can post this on YouTube or Vimeo. I find Facebook atrocious (I don’t have a FB account).

After reading your intro, I thought you were joking. But then I saw your portfolio, twitter, and video about IBM Plex. Impressive resume, sir!

    Here's three questions for you:

    • How much importance do you give to formal education when hiring a new designer for your team?
    • What is the "one" skill you wish all designers had?
    • At what point should a company decide to develop its own typeface instead of keep licensing a font?

    Thank you!

    • There's inconsistency in the way you display the dollar sign: lining and superscript
    • Same thing with using a comma with 4-digit numbers: sometimes you do, sometimes you don't
    • Sometimes you insert a space after the plus sign, and sometimes you don't
    • Pretty sure that dark gray text on a black background doesn't pass a color contrast test
    • Add some tracking to your all-case text
    • Icons are inconsistent: not only in their visual height, but also with the widths of their borders
    • Spacing of numbers is inconsitent as well
    • Would recommend a different typeface. A typeface in which the numbers shine much better. Search for "stock app" on dribbble and you'll find some examples

What service will you use to live stream, and will a recording be available afterward?

    Thanks, Dillon!

If you want to stay in UI/Product design I'd also encourage you to get closer to the code / learn to code. You'll have an easier time developing produceable solutions that work within the limitations of your tech stack.
