I wanted to make a note about this as well. More specifically, a different solution to your capabilities or job description. Not necessarily this effect exactly, but https://wesbos.com/ achieves something similar, but gets away from the typing/deleting effect.
No that's a good point. I'm pretty familiar with seeing this on instagram and I think the initial image/screenshot threw me off. If that screenshot was a still instagram UI with the mockup/image it would make a lot more sense!
Awesome, thanks for the feedback and complement Alex. Yes, that introduction and lead needs to be more enticing.
This is all super helpful! Thank you!
I have been struggling with how to pitch it so that's good to hear how confusing it is XD - I will be revisiting how to position the entire site.
On the note about type, I agree, it would be a good idea to revisit the type structure and create something clearer. Thank you! :)
Thanks so much for the feedback!
Could you clarify the comment about multiple typography styles in the header? I see some areas where the typography structure could be tightened up, but I would love to hear what you're getting at.
Thanks for the feedback about the photo and shadows. I will be changing those up!
Thanks for all the feedback - custom typography is something I'm getting better at and I can definitely see where the kerning needs to be addressed on both those logos. Thanks for the help!
If anyone cares, I figured it out
Sometimes you don't have the option to just wait until you "feel" like it again.
For me personally, I have been trying to figure out a freelance schedule/workflow that works for me.
The greatest success I've had is to change my scenery. Today for instance, I was working at home and then suddenly didn't feel like working on what I needed to. I biked and to a coffee shop and was able to focus and get stuff done!
Journal and take notes on how your routine/process is working (or not working). This has been tremendously helpful for me as well.
Keep going, you got this! Great question!
Thanks for starting this conversation!
How do you best identify the true intentions of those you are finding advice from online? In my experience, I haven't been able to figure that out until I follow the person's blog, website &/or social media until they do something that contradicts what they've been preaching..
What is your filtering/vetting process for reading advice?
