Keep a 1:1 aspect ratio. I find it's easier to maintain from a consistency point of view + scales the same as sibling icons when resized (either by width or height).

    Exactly my thoughts.

It didn't fail. The guy tried to use it for the first time since turning it on so was required to put in a passcode for security reasons (same as Touch ID) which you can see from the onscreen dialogue. It's a big fail from an organisation POV but not a fail in Face ID. Watching a bunch of hands on videos after the event with The Verge etc. and it seems to work surprisingly well.

I would assume you'd be able to cast your own music to the HomePod using AirPlay 2.

Did you manage to find anything useful?

One thing to think about is the "Add to Cart" button being shown on hover. Don't forget about those on touch screens :)

I agree with the other sentiments shared on here. Just a couple of other points to add:

    • Not sure Calluna is the best choice for numbers, particularly for the number 1
    • The blue accent colour is misleading in places. It's used for both link colours and emphasis so there are times when I'm trying to clicking through to something when there isn't actually a link there.

Looks beautiful but the images are taking ages to load for me. No fun seeing a white background with the title outlined by text shadow, and waiting 4/5 seconds for the image to show.

Not a huge fan of the navigation either. I don't think the user should have to click twice to change section. Perhaps they could've played around with the hover options because the icons are pretty cool. Does the copy show on large screens?

Still on the fence over those forms. They're cute but not sure if they actually add anything to the experience. Not a fan that they remain active even if you change your mind and move the cursor away.

If you design for digital products then I'd say have a go at building one yourself. You learn so much just by going through problems that developers may face when taking over your hi-fi mockups. You can use your portfolio as a playground and gives you a reason to keep up with the latest technologies.

Time and cost permitting, of course, but it's worth it.
