I used to not care about my notebooks. I would duct tape them as they fell apart and get a new one once it filled up.

But I finally gained an attachment to a notebook brand completely by accident - stumbled upon a blank 500 page grid miquelrius notebook in my dads old bookcase and have been using them ever since. Last year someone got me a portable whiteboard notebook that I now never leave home without (and get compliments on constantly). Definitely recommend this for any designer peeps.

I totally understand where you're coming from - I signed up for Evernote AGAIN (I think this is my 3rd time coming back to it) and still find myself unhappy with it.

I know DN has been blowing up about Asana this past week, but honestly Asana might not be a terrible solution - unlike Basecamp they charge by number of collaborators, so you have unlimited projects, tasks, attachments etc. up to 15 people, so it might be a useful place to keep all your notes, classwork, images, etc.

Plus it's pretty ;)
