If they have strong feelings about a direction, ask them to present 2 ideas.

-1 following the present guidelines accurately -1 with a proposed improvement, or a different direction

Discuss these ideas openly. If the proposed improvement gains universal approval, work it into the present guidelines.

It shouldn't be an authoritarian regime. It should follow a considered and open process.

Case studies, such as this, can help to support our own ideas and suggestions to those who have less natural insight into UI/UX improvement. I have found this to be especially true with external clients or internal managers outside of product or design.

You can put a good case forward with your own insights, backing that up with additional research and findings can really help propel that forward. It helps to build trust.

So obvious stuff can be useful stuff.

Pros: The concept is good. I like the idea of randoms generating popular playlists through collaborations. Strongest tracks climb.

Cons: Friends will be too polite to downvote, but clearly upvoting will still work.

Dislikes: Found the interface limited, adding songs was cumbersome and switching between tracks was confusing. I didn't have the patience to find out if it was me doing it wrong, or poor design (and why should I?)

Yes. For hard-core wireframing, flows and lo-fi UX design, Axure still reigns.

It is expensive for what it offers, which is why it is becoming less relevant to the majority or designers as it offers poor value for money compared to Figma, Sketch and other tools.
