This is still a very early beta, but I wanted to get this idea out into the community and see if it's helpful for people.
I've been using it for a while on my own prototypes to add basic functionality. It's really helpful because you can quickly iterate between artboards and add more or less of these scrollable components simply by duplicating groups.
Soon I'd like to explore making other components based on what I find myself building most often.
Other component ideas that could be really awesome: - toggle control - 'linking' to other artboards from buttons - magic move transitions between artboards - show/hide other groups from a button tap (like a dropdown), maybe even with a few transitions options
Any other cool ideas?
Hugely overstated and inaccurate arguments. Why are we still talking about the iOS 7 update?
I'm a big fan of Lean UX, which is a very helpful guide for design process.
This is exactly what I've been waiting for. Man, if only I could import a sketch document...
Why would this be a joke? IMO this is some amazing product design. It does what every Amazon product is secretly aiming to do - make it easier for you to order more from Amazon - but it's not masquerading as something else. It looks like it does one thing very well. I personally can't wait to get one.
I get why he wanted to align the body size of the 'g' with the 'o', but it makes the 'g' look disproportionately large.
We should use this thread to get some invites going. I just signed up (username: mattsjohnston), but don't even know who is on the site in order to ask for an invite.
If you're looking for the best (extremely) budget earphones at only $8, checkout this great set from Monoprice. I've really not heard better earphones until getting in the > $100 range.
You can see a couple write-ups and reviews about them on Life Hacker here and here.
For me a designer's style is just how that particular designer approaches problems. This could be because of her past experience, what she values most, aesthetic styles she is most attracted to, etc... A style will naturally come out of these factors and will evolve as the designer does.
If you try specifically to define your "style" and purposefully make sure your work fits within the box of this "style", you're sure to pigeon hole your work and go out of style. Just let it happen organically!

We've been doing these here in SF, and they've been really fun. I'm sure this one will be great out in NY!
