At work I spend a lot of time making slides, and moving images from Figma to Slides is so tedious.

I wouldn't really lean a backend learn a backend language for side projects. I recommend you to use firebase! It's awesome for side projects, most of our side projects needs some time of authentication and CURD operations and firebase is fast easy and realtime.

I admit that its buggy. But it works most of the times. And also this was my side project and I did it for fun over the weekends.

The goal is to make it better and stable :) Let hope we will reach there.

You can customize the components. This was really a side project for me and I was just focusing on Material as that is what they use in my Company.

Its generally a lot of work to make each component work, and actually some components are easy to build some or not. I would love to see the community building for design style guides.

That is pretty much the limitation of the slides. All the slides will have equal heights and widths.

And again its not a replacement for invision or google gallery.

We at Google use google slides to make our design presentations and share it will different stockholders and quickly get feedback on designs. As its much faster and simpler and everyone knows how to use it.

And moreover the versioning (slides version history) and assigning comment to people is extremely useful in our case. :)
