    Fair enough, I misinterpreted and that can happen. Like I said, kudos for coming up with the solution, it is indeed a nice to have feature ;)

    Not to undermine your implementation, but this is not really new stuff: the Google Art Project presented this same technology over a decade ago, and the company I worked for in Florence (Centrica) even earlier, as a way to "deep zooming in" the Uffizi Gallery masterpieces. I was involved in a lot of the digitalisation of the paintings, some of which needed over 100 different shots and a crazy light configuration to create a super-hires version that could be smoothly viewed both online and offline (and without any blurriness). But kudos for coming up with such solution by yourselves.

    Surprised this made the news today: it was built in 2004! :D Still great though.
