  • Posted to Orbit — mobile apps that users don't need to download, Apr 25, 2017

    Hi peeps,

Super excited to share this venture my design studio has been working on.

Orbit is a mobile marketing tool that connects your brand to nearby customers. It provides businesses with a mobile app that their customers don't need to download.

    Madness!?

    No.

It delivers location-based mobile apps whenever a customer is in range of an Orbitbox. Meaning businesses can deliver targeted app-like experiences to customers without them needing to install anything on their mobile.

Check it out, really appreciate any feedback or let me know if you'd like to try it yourself.

Balsamiq is great for creating mocks but I tend to move to illustrator for wireframing. Have been thinking about testing out Sketch for wireframing.

Wireframes are an invaluable part of the interaction design and user-experience toolkit. Sometimes there's too much emphasis on wireframes as a deliverable when actually the concept is the deliverable. Wireframes are purely the means of communicating the concept. This post explores what makes them useful and when they are the right tool. Let me know what you think.

  • Posted to How to make adverts interactive with React.js, Aug 14, 2015

Adverts are part of our everyday lives. Advertisers use various techniques to communicate with their audience such as forced pre-content adverts in youtube or banners on websites. Recently we created interactive adverts for a large British broadcaster using a platform called Brainient. Here's our developers guide to creating interactive adverts using that platform.

Very true and finding people with the right expertise to find good people is also hard work.

Testing designs with people continuously throughout the design process isn't as much of a headache as you may think. This is a simple step by step guide for running usability tests that we follow all the time. Let us know your thoughts.
