See you soon new work buddy
This is awesome! Typo on the about page: powerfull -> powerful
Short answer: You don't.
Long answer: Designing for a small team or startup is a great way to learn a lot of new things and do a lot of new things, but it's often on you to start them. Especially if you're the only designer on the team, that means that you are your own mentor which is a really tough spot to be in. The best you can really do is to make everyone else critique your work, send it to other designers in the industry (you'd be surprised at how helpful people can be) and just keep trying new things.
Also, share your work here on DN! I'm sure we'll all be willing to give you some suggestions/advice.
Damn that is a beautiful site.
Once you get past the load time, it's a really awesome site. Unfortunately, zero semantic HTML (since it's literally all a canvas), so virtually no SEO besides the title
element. This also means that no devices with JS disabled will be able to see anything (which I realize is almost no one).
More importantly, let's look at what the site is actually supposed to do. It's supposed to bring in clients, not designers. If a client sees this website taking so long to load, they won't think "Ooh boy I'll bet its worth it!," and that's if they find it at all because of the lack of content for search engines to crawl.
Nice! There's a typo in Thibault's bio:
Bringing designs to live is what I do.
Should be "Bringing designs to life
Electron is still sort of new; I think it has some ways to go in improving performance, but thats ok for the benefits it gives web developers and I'm sure it will only improve.
