I don't think that judgement is fair. 'Badly coded' is not the same as when a developer lacks the understanding needed about the rendering engine. I do however agree on your sentiment that it's not the browsers fault.

Also, sometimes you need to pull back on resource-heavy design decisions if they're hurting performance.

Well, it's very pretty, but I'll pass. I need my window dark, or I'll burn my eyes out when doing late night coding, which is why I'm using flatland monokai right now.

    Well done though.

I had a chance to test this out on an event in sthlm (sthlm.js on meetup.com) and I have to say that I'm impressed by the technical side of it all.

It does however feel like they haven't really thought about the profitability of the project, I think it will flop in the same way the leap did. No-one's going to download a game that requires a special case if the case isn't HEAVILY marketed - which it seems like they can't afford.

I'm sorry to be negative - but please don't post links of these types here. The subject of your post is more in the nature of reddit or 9gag - please post them there instead.

I'm with you on everything except maximum-scale=1.0. There are situations where it needs to be set, i.e. if you're trying to get that "appy" feel to the site. Forums and stuff like that should use it, imo.

It all comes down to user expectation, does it not?

Scroll hijacking is the bane of my existance. We've got it on our agency site now - a decision i can't stand behind.

This has already been posted before. Also - I realise that this is minimalism driven to it's extremes, but I'd say that many of these products loose their connection with their target group when reworked like this.

The nutella one is fantastic though, but there needs to be some kind of red and black combination for it not to look super boring on the shelves.

I worked a bit with kirby last year - i like it a lot. Never had any trouble using it, it's super well documented and I love the fact that it accepts markdown.

So, let me get this straight: AngularGap is angular wrapped in phonegap and a css framework? I guess it would save me time in setting up a project, but other then that I fail to see the use. I'm sure it's a great product, but the painful truth is that phonegap isn't ready for more advanced applications - and might not ever be.
