This is pretty funny, man. Especially the template downloads. Nice!

This pricing structure sucks, and is a deal-breaker for our use. Seems like it might work for an internal-only product design team, but at an agency where we need clients to have project-level access to leave comments, we can't afford to pay an extra 15 bucks per month per user every time a client wants to add a new person to their team! Oof. Thought this was the one!

I don't think it's hating on the work so much as hating on the click-baity headline! The bags are nice but I agree that they probably aren't going to singlehandedly reverse a socio-economic trend such as the decline of big bookstores.

I'm pretty into the new Google Hangouts app that you can trigger with the Chrome launcher. It's a little confusing to have an app and an extension (they appear to be two different things) but the outside-the-browser app in particular is excellent.

    There's a pretty enticing list here: http://holacracy.org/faq/what-companies-are-using-holacracy

I'm also looking for LayerVault's spiritual successor. We really loved this tool and are sad to see it go. :(

If anyone else with a LayerVault account has any interest in bulk downloading all your stuff, one of my friends/coworkers coded a Node app to use the LayerVault API to grab all your files and comments. It's rate-limited by LayerVault's API rate so it won't annihilate their servers; might take a little while to run if you've got a lot of stuff up there.

Most of the holocratic companies I'm aware of started out that way, so I'm not sure they went holocratic as a result of their success. To me it seems harder to switch from a traditional hierarchical company structure to a holocratic one after the fact - though there are exceptions of course, like Zappos.

This is a really interesting project. Giorgia Lupi gave a great presentation at Visualized last year, which is up (along with all the other presentations) here: http://visualized.com/2014/presents/giorgia-lupi/

There's a lot to learn from in here. Even though I don't work at a holocracy, I've taken a lot of value from the way they talk about hiring being the most important thing they do. It's true!
