Safe to say Apple isn't actively supporting quartz composer.

I don't use Facebook. But from what I understand this should separate the work and personal aspect in the Facebook world.

I'm also a bit underwhelmed that they didn't even try to change (that much) the UX or UI for work environments. I'm not even convinced in the slightest Facebook has solved communication in their app for non-work environments.

I'd really be more interested in design collaboration tools for teams spread out all over the world.

The UX does seem well thought out, but it definitely does not seem like a stand alone device unfortunately.

I'm wondering what that use case is like. If I go for a run, I've got to have my phone?! Or does it store data and then sync back when I'm near?!

    I want to know more.

Seems like so long ago! The best release we had. IMHO. :-)

I can't agree with you more. I've had the luxury of building tools in house to do such a thing, but nothing available to the rest of the world.

Animation and interaction design or whatever you want to call it is becoming more and more commonplace. It is now a necessity.

I'd love to brainstorm some time.

The origami site has some good starter files and information. Sadly, there isn't much for Quartz Composer documentation.

You can also start here. http://vimeo.com/m/85578380

    David gave a good link.

I basically like to do the same thing as well. Keeping same width, or height or both. Most of the time you'll know which way to go based on where your icons live in the app or wherever they are being used.

In the beginning of the process, I like to make a book with each page having a layout of 4 icons down and 3 across. This gives plenty of room to write, sketch on the paper and make comments when I print everything out for critique. Then narrow it all down and add another column and row of icons for final.
