It skews to the data side (obviously) but it's an interesting perspective. I, for one, am quite tired of listening to my fellow designers spitting out jargon during meetings just for appearances' sake, but maybe that's just me.
I'll be there (I'm speaking on a panel Sunday).
How much karma does one need to qualify for "downvote" power?

I'm so glad to see Marriott stepping up to facilitate the mobile workforce. I'd read something a year or two back about workshifters taking up residence in hotel lobbies (which totally makes sense, though it may be annoying for hotel patrons and employees) – Marriott is (of course) charging for the privilege of using their space, but this is a great move and will be a huge benefit to a lot of us who don't want pay $$$ for a regular co-working space but are tired of Starbucks/Panera.
*For some reason all my posts lately are missing the URL, even though it's correct in the form.
How strange - I'd read the story and still had it open in my browser before I posted it. Thanks for the working link!

From desktop to mobile to app, this year’s winner works. Everywhere. On anything. It provides a richer news experience than any one “site.”
I wish they went a bit more in-depth on their criteria. The one area where Facebook fails (again and again and again) is providing timely and relevant news. Whereas Twitter can give you instant updates as soon as they happen, with commentary, I'll often see "breaking" news stories on Facebook that happened days and sometimes weeks earlier. The only area of Facebook you'll see news that's less than 24 hours old (sometimes not) is in the trending column. So Facebook won on account of one column showing a list of relevant news stories?
Bravo, SND.
