Always go for the simplest implementation first

Hmm, I would let people know that when on a mobile view. I think they add enough value that I would go to a desktop and check them out. If i didn't see this comment I would never have known. Nice work!

What is the basis for some of these decisions?

Place labels on the left of fields in case of large forms and on top for smaller forms.

It would be cool if you linked to studies or some more specific reasoning, rather than just blanket statements.

Amazing that the first reply, after quite a detailed explanation and rationale behind the re-design is, "Looking nice and clean"

Some cool stuff here Paul (site wise and work wise).

Just as I was about to leave the website I realised that you could scroll down to see images of the projects. The home page doesn't scroll so I just presumed the work pages didn't either. I did think it was a bit strange that you just had a paragraph of text for every project but had decided to leave at that point anyway.

I wasn't keen on not having a link back to the homepage, it's frustrating. I've only now just realised that there are two different sites here too, follow.pm and works.pm, which is slightly confusing. Also only just got the connection with your name and the domain :)

I totally get that personal sites are meant to be a playground etc but I feel the navigation was just too confusing for me and I almost didn't get to see any of the work, which I guess is the main point of the website existing in the first place. I'd be worried too that a potential employer would view that as "bad UX" rather than me just trying something different. You won't be able to please everyone though!

As I said, some nice stuff here and I would be keen to check out any further iterations. I liked the Easter egg when resizing the screen...

There's some really nice work here. I like the website too.

I got a little concerned with the initial mouse interaction as I thought the whole website might be like that and it would distract from actually viewing the work, but that wasn't the case and I scrolled back up to play around with it after.

The work shown is nice and varied but it would be cool to see more pieces of it and also some back story to some of the projects. It would be nice to learn a little about you too. Your Instagram is pretty interesting as well, maybe showcase some of that?

I don't totally get the contact us strap line but overall it's a really nice portfolio and left me wanting to see more of it.

    Will this ever support VSTS?
