Well I think it won't shut down, Google here might be looking to integrate it better with its AngularJS framework. I had had my hands on Firebase once following a tutorial on AngularJS, it looked interesting to me. It is a really nice tool for someone just prototyping something quick.

I agree with the comments from most others saying it is not fair to compare both. But it is fine if you compare it in context of what you are trying to get out of it. Sketch is fantastic for UI design. But if you are looking for something that needs raster treatment, you would want to turn to Photoshop, Pixelmator or the new kid called Affinity Designer which looks really promising.

From the way you say it "holy sweet baby jesus", I just might have to give Source Code Pro ExtraLight a try :)

I just wonder why you set "detect_indentation" is false and have a negative margin.

I completely agree with Luke here. I am in exactly the same situation as you, Gabriele. But I think a little wait is worth it. We are just a few weeks from the stable release, why don't have a clean slate with a good stable release than a beta?

Yea not many people use Fireworks now, I myself use Sketch. But the article is a good read in the way it shows the whole workflow in good detail with several nifty techniques. That made me post the link here.
