Constraints are your clues to a good, accessible, consistent design. Use them for your strength and do your best to express your creativity within these lines. There is so much you can use your Creativity to contribute to your clients' businesses and users' life.
What your client pays is not really the 1-hour work you do at the technical level,
but the 10 hours of work done in 1 hour backed with years of experience, based on educated design and business decisions, the time you save for your client and the value you give to your client’s business.
Don’t punish yourself, undervalue your work and experience by starting a client conversation with questions to understand the timeline for hourly rate calculation.
Instead, ask questions to understand the client, business goals, competition, problems, the VALUE and offer your solution based on that, not on your hour.
Introvert Designers; Educate your managers, colleagues about what introversion really means, that you need your space to be creative, that you need your time to think, that you don't need to change and you are a great value to the team with your introvert qualities.
Read, take note and apply straight away. Often refer to the books you read instead of ordering new ones. Learn deeper in practice and experience the benefits. Continue executing while reading. Only then you get the real benefits of reading.
Reading all these books doesn't mean you will be successful unless you execute on your learnings. Reading and executing should run in parallel.
Probably a better title would be "You read enough. Now take action! Then read more, and apply your learning, run them in parallel" or more formally "Procrastination by Reading"
Spoilers :P It was interesting to hear how and why they made the switch btw.
