    I hope so. It's horrible.

I can speak with confidence because I understand all the principles involved. I think you mean to say that you yourself can’t speak with such confidence because you don’t have a full understanding, so allow me to elaborate.

    This fucking guy...

All I'm seeing in the comments is that you're presenting personal experience and opinions as facts and that you should have some sort of evidence. I don't even think that's the main problem. I am used to reading articles from random designers as 'opinions' or 'thoughts' anyway. I think that what you're saying is one option of dealing with this problem, but not the only way.

The problem is that you come across as a bit of an arrogant prick to anyone that disagrees with your article or the way you're presenting it. From all these comments here and on your article there's probably a combined total of 100 years of experience.

Yes, and you can't seem to be able to sort out Debuts by New anymore. Instead it starts with Popular.

Seriously, can't wait for Dribbble to get replaced by something new. These guys are getting ridiculous with only supporting their popular teams and designers.

I mean the logo works, and will eventually grow on us once it becomes familiar. It's not special or unique at all though but lately it's about the marketing and usage that goes with them.

What I'm interested in is how does one convince a client that two letters in a circle should be their logo, for that amount of money? (which I'm guessing it's a lot)

That's what I want to know.

Like at least one stakeholder surely thought to themselves (meh I can do this myself in a word doc)

Yeah. To be fair the mark isn't exactly unique and it's very easy to replicate. Airbnb probably knew about it, or maybe they didn't as the previous one wasn't exactly popular, but I'm sure Sears knew of Airbnb's.

I had a quick look through your shots and what I like is that most of them seem well thought and detailed and not just simple UIs of clocks, weather apps, etc..

365 days seems a like a lot. As a UI/UX designer I completed a 26 days one where I had to design a logo using 2 randomly generated words starting with each letter of the alphabet (e.g. ask age) just so I can learn new tricks and more about logo design, and it takes a lot of focus to make sure you don't miss a day. Did you design one a day or went on a roll and designs several then posted them?

And finally, guessing this is one year later but did it help getting your current job?
