Letter spacing and type size is a fixed linear relationship. If they made more legible in small sizes (i.e. more space overall between characters in the font files), then they'd have to recommend reducing the letter spacing at medium point sizes, and further reducing the letter spacing at large point sizes.

Warby Parker offers blue-light-filtering lenses on all their glasses, specifically for people who look at computer screens most of the day. It's an additional $50 though.

Yeah but the other title typeface she uses, Zerfallen, that Klim custom made for Medium, is so fantastic. Hopefully it becomes available for public licensing eventually. (All 3 typefaces on the site Zerfallen, Söhne and Sevilo Nova Full Bung are all as-yet-released Klim typefaces.)

In a fantastically unintuitive way:

If you go to "View" → "Show Fonts", the macOS system font window will show up. From that you can click the gear icon and select "Typography…" and expand the "Number Spacing" section, where you have the option to enable Monospaced Numbers.
