I am a huge fan of the animated illustrations on this page! Usually, apps like this are really intimidating because I just see about of monetary values and just get nervous. But those doodle-like illustrations really invite me into the space. So great.

Hey all, I'm a designer working in AR and I wanted to share this how-to on image tracking that I wrote up that even has video! Designers currently have the power to work in AR and I wanted to share the knowledge of how to do it. I hope you like the article <3

  • Posted to Creating a 3D information kiosk in AR using Illustrator, After Effects, and Torch, Jan 16, 2019

I recently made an AR prototype of an interactive information kiosk with transparent video and I want to share the design and thought process with everyone. It was a decent amount of info to share with viewers in AR, which made it an interesting challenge. This blog especially focuses on the kiosk part of the project, but the project also included wayfinding and image tracking that I will discuss in future pieces. I hope you like it.

  • Posted to Use Adobe After Effects to Make Transparent Video for AR, Jan 02, 2019

I really enjoy playing with After Effects and a green screen. Now that Torch AR allows transparent video, I wrote this how-to about creating transparent backgrounds with a simple green green screen. (Seriously, I just used green paper.) Soon, I'll follow up with another piece about using those videos in Torch project.

Figma recently caught my attention with how useful, powerful, and intuitive it is in the hands of a designer (or really anyone). As a result of my new love for this tool, I wrote this blog to show you the cool apps you can build and prototype with the power of Figma and augmented reality. I hope you like it and I highly recommend seeing what you can build as well!
