This looks like a really well designed tool, and an incredible achievement by one person. Well done & good luck!

Awesome! Any plans for windows version? Is the layout exportable to code?

No plans for Windows. Yes this is a visual code editor, so real code being edited like a graphic tool, exports to HTML+CSS+JS and respects the box model, no absolute positioning etc.

That's a really really nice website. I'm kinda getting overwhelmed with the amount of tools that are appearing in this space though.

I'm not saying it's not, but when you're given too much choice it paralysis your ability to make a decision. I don't really have the time to check out a bunch of tools which all claim to do the same thing.

Well technically a lot of design tools do the same thing, getting us from an idea to an actual design. Figma does exactly what Sketch does, but people still like Figma.

I'll definitely check this out. I like that there's no BS monthly subscription, but I'm guessing if you were a VC-backed company with many employees, that would not have been the case!

I'm not a webdev, but I can and do build sites by hand in Bootstrap for personal projects, and hopefully I'll be able to build faster using this, than I was able to in Webflow.

Given how easy it is to build marketing page layouts in HTML & CSS now a days I'm surprised we're seeing so many of these tools. May as well just learn how to code them by hand.

It's only easy for people who know. There are MANY people out there, really, the majority of people, who do not know how to code, and do not have the time or need to learn. Many small business owners, hobbyists, etc who need to get something up quickly but require customization.

Of course its only easy for people who know, like everything in the world. My point is that it isn't hard to learn anymore, with flexbox and CSS grid you can build these layouts so quickly.

You still need to have the time to learn how these tools work. May as well spend that learning to code it.

Those things make achieving the layouts you want easier, for sure. But code is intimidating for many people and is a very different mental model. A visual editor works for a lot people because you are directly manipulating the thing vs this complete abstraction in a text editor.

A tool like this isn't really for the designer/devs of the world.

"...with flexbox and CSS grid you can build these layouts so quickly."

You can also watch as people flock to other sites because they might not be on the most current browsers that support CSS Grid and flex to its fullest.

Also, even though these make some complex layouts much simpler to create, they are neither easy to develop with and both have relatively steep learning curves.

Too bad, not Windows. I would have covered it on my 300k sub yt channel.
