Finally updated my portfolio. It used to just be a bunch of text that went to GIFs. Now you don't have to click to get to the GIFs. (markjohnson.cc)

First off, your work is really really nice, but I'm not really feeling this. The editorial grid combined with the gifs and giant fixed nav just make it seem messy. Maybe making the gif's play on hover could fix that? It's a bit busy at the moment. To emphasize everything is to emphasize nothing and all of that.
Maybe the hover play is the way to go. I wanted it to feel a bit more haphazard generally speaking which is why the GIFs play by default, and why things are all over the place. I like the idea that you just sorta enter my brain, and there's a lot of stuff going on. I get the "to emphasize everything is to emphasize nothing" jam, maybe there's a better balance I can find. Thanks for the feedback :)
This looks great Mark, I especially enjoy the interactions on the Dropbot project page! You just need a small URL fix on the Instagram and email icons in your header/footer.
Hey, thanks Graham! I just killed that Instagram link, and fixed the email jammer, so it should work now. Thanks for letting me know about that :)
According to Pingdom I’ve just consumed 29MB (29!!) of my mobile data allowance loading that page. Ouch.
Yeah, there's more than 3 GIFs on there for sure. That'll do it. Who knows what else I did. Probably at least one other thing.
