Your iPhone svg (iPhone.svg) is 12.7mb!
HAHA maybe need a little optimization, thanks man
No probs. I was thinking it's a simple design, why is my browser struggling?! A png would probably suffice. I think it's because of the amount of data in the svg.
Yup :)
It’s because of your shadows mostly, I’m guessing you’ve used a gaussian blur in Illustrator (a Photoshop effect) they don’t translate to actual SVG. So they get base64 encoded and embedded as an image.
If you have a look at a gaussian blur under SVG filters in the Effect menu you should see the file size reduce if you use that method.
I know it's already been said, but man this slows my maxed out MacBook Pro to a crawl. I can only imagine how it would perform on an average consumer-grade machine. Get that site optimized pronto!
Neat!
I clicked on the link: http://pulp-piano.com/
And the loading time... all those heavy svg are hard on the bandwidth! Especially the iphone.svg with a whoping 13mb! ;)
Just import your images as big transparent png then compress them using pngyu & voilà! The weight will be a lot more light and people will enjoy the website a little more :)
Yup :) thanks man :) Did you had the chance to try the app?
It is on my iPhone. I'l try it tomorrow... I like the idea!
