the calculate button is disabled even when all fields are filled in.
Hey Aaron, just tested it right now and seemed to work. Can you double check if you got every field?
Yup, happened to me as well :(
Oh really? What browser?
I'm using Chrome. Maybe I put a 0 on a field, could that be it?
Do people really calculate their rate by coming up with how much they want to earn and going from there? That seems backwards to me to be honest.
My own way of finding out my hourly rate was to keep increasing it from project to project as long as clients kept hiring meβ¦
No, I don't think so, but this exercise was to provide a framework to create a baseline that includes your costs and expected take home, which I think is a helpful to come up with initial rates. I definitely agree that pricing iteration is how you grow in your freelance/consulting career.
Should do a version for those who bill on value not hours.
When you do ship V2, show a total and then do some dramatic reveal where money gets taken away by the tax man. Haha
Wouldn't that be depressing :( lol
this is really cool, taxes should be calculated in percentage though.
Thanks for checking it out, Ariel! Good point. Will take that back to the team for when we do v2.
