Hello everyone,
This is Mike again from the Adobe XD team. I’m excited to join you with my colleague Kerri Shotts for our 1st AMA. Kerri is an Adobe Developer Advocate, and is currently focused on making it really easy for developers to build powerful plugins for XD and for designers in XD to discover, install and use them.
Last week the XD team released an update for Adobe XD that includes support for
-Fixed Elements and Overlay Support
-Crop and place image fills
-Math calculations in property fields
-Improved Photoshop and Sketch image fill support
We will continue to release updates every month based on community feedback.
Today we are excited to talk about plugins and XD extensibility! Earlier this year we announced support for popular 3rd party integrations (Zeplin, Avocode, Sympli, ProtoPie, and Kite Compositor) and file previews from Dropbox. Since then we introduced the Adobe Fund for Design, to which you can apply for the chance to receive grants and investments from Adobe for plugins or integrations you want to build. We’ve also created a notification page where you can sign up to be notified when the first release of Adobe XD gets extensibility, and also get a chance to participate in early prereleases.
Our team is here from now to 2pm PST to chat and answer your questions.
Thanks,
Mike and Kerri
