I'm using Newton by CloudMagic, I tried Spark and I know Polymail.

Yes and yes! Spark has been the only email client that was able to fill the void left by Mailbox whenever dropbox shut it down. I just recently started using the MacOS app and it has impressed me every time I use it.
Yeah, I was on Spark but I discovered Newton, very minimalist, Spark is missing some things.
I was unaware of this one. I dig the minimal interface for sure.
What do you like about newton over spark?
It's minimalist, I have 5 email accounts and all five are on Newton with color management because when you switch to all inboxes mode you want to keep up on different accounts. You also have read receipt, snooze (like spark), send later (like spark) but you have reply reminder if your client isn't responding.

I do like Spark and I do use it all the time. But I am also a bit concerend with the savety and privacy of it. It is possible to share a public link of any mail in you mailboxes. Although it can be handy, I use it to put mail in my todolist, but is feels not good to have this info public.

Best features for me personally:
I know this is a tiny thing, but I had to stop using Airmail because their undo is soooo slow to action for snoozes etc. Apart from that I preferred it to Spark in every other way

Mac/iOS: Polymail
Is it bad or wrong that I am still using Mac Mail? Both on mobile as on desktop? I feel like I'm alone here.

Definitely in the default Apple apps camp. Pretty happy with my minimal Mail client :-).
I'm yet to come across a scenario where a 3rd-party email client outperforms the default Apple Mail in my daily workflow...
I would use Apple Mail if it pushed Gmail. But it never will and that's a deal breaker for me.
I use Astro on macOS, iOS, and Android. Insights to one-click to unsubscribe and auto-archive old emails. Mail scheduling. Follow-up reminders. Question detection. The best priority inbox I've used ever. Snooze to Desktop(!!) And it's FREE!

As an HTML email designer/developer, I've tried all the email clients. Astro has been my daily client on macOS & iOS for a year now, and I doubt that will change.
I've tried Polymail, Airmail, Apple Mail, Gmail, Outlook, Spark and Newton, among others. They're all pretty decent, and I did like Airmail for a while before moving to Polymail and then Astro. Newton didn't impress me for an app that requires a monthly/yearly fee.
What I really miss is Mailbox, the email client from Dropbox that eventually went extinct. The way it turned your inbox into a to-do list was really helpful, and some of what Astro does reminds me of that. I don't use the AI too much in Astro, but the email account setup process is incredibly simple because of it.
I agree with you but there is one feature missing for Astro, color management for all inboxes mode. I submitted a feature request but I doubt they'll add it
Astro is missing a few features that Spark and Airmail have, but Astro is the most reliable and their Undo actually works. The Priority inbox works great after a bit of training.
Do people primarily use email clients? I just use gmail in the browser.

Yes, if you work in any corporate environment you'll pretty much have to use an email client. Gmail isn't professional
Are you referring to the @gmail.com not being professional or the usage of the gmail client itself?
Hmm, both really, but more in the sense that managing several non-gmail addresses in the platform gets problematic.
In my client, for instance, I have four different corporate email addresses I have to keep track of during the day. In gmail you can only really see the emails from one of the accounts at a time (you need to interact with the top-level menu to see what other accounts are doing), where I need to be able to monitor all four at once. Using Apple Mail (and sometimes Thunderbird on my PC) makes for a better workflow.
Though personally I view a @gmail address as being personal and not professional. (i.e. If I'm contacting XYZbusiness, I want to see a @XYZbusiness.com email address to add a level of reassurance that I'm dealing with a legitimate entity). However I currently use a gmail address for my freelance stuff. One day I need to re-register my old personal domain again though, lol.
I'm using G Suite for professional and gmail for personal. Always with Google. And I agree with you.
Using Gmail, like GSuit, is superprofessional. It gives you less hassle of maintaining mailserver stuff, so you can use that time for you business.
To be honest, it's not when you need to keep track of where your data is actually located. Having IP sitting in offshore servers isn't good enough for a lot of companies.

I currently use Inbox on iOS (I redirect all my private and freelance related mails to my gmail address) and Outlook (iOS and MacOS) for my part-time work related stuff to keep them separated. On Windows I use eM Client, but I'm not to fond of it anymore - every time I work with it it feels dated and I really miss the Inbox features even more.

Mailbird - not perfect but good. I also have some previous edition of Postbox but I don't use it. Additionally, Thunderbird, for a different account I don't want to mix with those I use with Mailbird. A pro lifetime license.
I guess Mailbird isn't "an ugly and poor UX crap" - maybe it's just a poor UX crap?

Newton mail is apparently meant to be amazing. But I just can't justify a subscription. Not yet at least. I use Postbox (Mac) for work and Spark for personal. I really like having separate mail clients for work and personal (the notifications badge gets out of control when everything is aggregated…)
I've been a long time user of Postbox for Mac. It just suits how I like to use my work email. Its "Quick Move" feature is great for organising emails into folder quickly (though creating sub-folders is a bit of a task).
I also like how Postbox renders my emails. For some reason, whenever I try to use bullets in Spark, sometimes it gets it right, sometimes it doesn't.
I use Newton and the actual reading of the emails is kind of annoying as it tries to keep minimal. Switching accounts just takes a fraction too long for it to be annoying.
However the superchargers (which is what I pay for and why I use it) are invaluable for me. Read receipts are a godsend.
Astro has also all those superchargers and it's free. Anyway, I'm on Newton too.
Win/Postbox
I'm still on Mac Mail, after trying almost every email client out there.
Nevertheless, this is were Outlook and the MS Office suite excel on the Windows Ecosystem. Nothing beats the seamless integration that Outlook has in there, and the benefits of using it everywhere.
The Mac version is a bit shy on the integration part with the ecosystem.

I'm using Airmail on MacOS with 18 email accounts. I don't why I just love it. Does the job well.

I love the "account icons" and the "account colors" features. I give every account a color like business accounts red, personal accounts blue etc. And when I open Airmail, I go to "all mail" folder, and I can easily see and manage all accounts.
I agree with Nick, Airmail rule em all!
And if you want to try it before you buy, you can get the beta for free. But please, buy it if you like it because this app is awesome and easily the best on the market!!!

Airmail is fast, built with native code, have so many advanced feature it would be long to name them all. There are a plenty of great reviews on the internet that might convince you!

The only problem is they sometimes they just bump the version number for a major release and force you to pay a bit more every now and then...
I don't mind knowing how much effort is being put in this application.
