I paid to Dribbble 7 bucks, got 1000 views and... 3 clicks

3 years ago from , UI Designer

According to recently announced promo mode at Dribbble. I've took a look and bought 1000 profile views for $7.

Bottom line: not quite sure it worths invested money :D

Thoughts: maybe userpics will take a primary role in this game as it happened in appstore with app icons

PS: I've messaged to Dribbble support and asked for shifting the end date, to achieve the results earlier

The secret to it is posting shots of Nike shoes.

What did you post? People are only gonna look at what interests them on dribbble.

I don't know, I think it's worth noting that paid impressions are no substitute for engaging content. Looking at your account, all of your thumbs are promoting UI kits for Figma. They're not new or inspiring designs. Maybe it's worth considering that the primary use case for users on Dribbble isn't to shop for UI kits, and that's why your click-through rate is so low.

$ 2.33 per click is not too bad.

This is the real insight here. $7 for 3 views of a product? Not the worst I've seen.

I mean, did you promote just a Dribbble shot, or was it an advert to a product website fo example?

With the addition of Scout, we barely get any enquiries. Now it all makes sense, it was all on purpose so they get to this.
