This is very interesting, but IMHO the disadvantages list is a bit short...

For example, there are situations where having the team locked up and focused on a delivery (aka War Room) delivers great results as it forces focus, sense of urgency, and boosts communication. Citing the PMI: "Like their military counterparts, war rooms gather people and information in one location for concentrated problem solving. ". Probably you can try to replace this with some remote management techniques, but the results will never be the same.

There is also the sense of belonging, which is harder to create and maintain in pure remote, but possible.

Well, it is an open document. You can add stuff via the Gitlab repository. Check the 'contribute' part at the bottom.

In theory, remote teams should be great. There are clear benefits and it's the trend of the future.

In my real world experience, projects tend to take twice as long and communication becomes very frustrating. People are less accountable creating animosity among team members. Time differences get in the way. Vision gets lost.

IMO - Even with all the futuristic tools that enable us to work together around the globe, local teams are still much more productive/efficient than remote teams. Hopefully that changes soon.
